Lululemon HQ

2019

Revit, Photoshop

Lululemon HQ is a group project that will continue to be worked on through April 2020 for the Solar Decathlon Design Challenge. This was the major commercial building project of the year averaging 35,000 sqft.. As a group we were tasked with designing an entire office building to house a company of our choice. As a group we chose to work on Lululemon for our company. All of the sketches and preliminary building shell were created by me, and then we designed the space inside off of that. As a sustainable space I had originally thought of courtyards and spaces where no matter where you looked nature was around you. I also tried to incorporate elements from buildings in Fort Collins (our site location) such as brickwork, and some industrial accents. For the roof design we wanted it to mimic that of the mountains. We created the overhangs and unique spaces as a way to create spots for people to gather and be a community. The natural elements were included in the interior spaces of the building such as the cavernous hallways and the sense of risk and peril with the overhanging stairs and alcove areas. I designed most of the exterior spaces, and created a courtyard that reflected our own logo design as well as the circulation of the yoga/zen movement that Lululemon has. The preliminary sketches show that we initially thought of making the building Lululemon exclusive, but then we tried to standardize it into a reusable building. Below are sketches, renderings, and construction documents of the building.
